Samadhi Environment and Social Organization planted the first plant in 2012 at 00.0.05.at park of Dharamayathana at Sinhapura. Nimal,Ven Samiddhi, Savidu, Nalin, Shanka, Atula and Janitha participated at that glorious and historical moment.

The program of Buddhism and Environment

Samadhi Environment and social organization held the program of Buddhism and Environment at Dharmayathanaya, Hokandara in 2011.10.02.

There was a discussion about how to use Buddhism for environmental conservation.Two lectures were delivered on biodiversity of environment and the Buddhist way for environmental conservation.

We live in a very complex and perplex social environment. Most of these problems are the results of our own actions. The challenge before the wise at present is to recognize these problems and the causes for the same and to find out ways and means to avoid them. These problems are inherent in many fields such as political, economical, cultural, social and religious. The sole objective of the Samadhi Environment and Social Organization is to identify these environmental and social problems and to understand the causes of them and to take necessary steps to avoid them. The organization has planned to achieve four objectives in order to attain this goal.

01.  To present the Buddhist interpretation of environment and societies.

02.  To make people aware of environmental and social problems and to avoid the harmful results of them.

03.  To inquire into the environmental and social history.

04.  To mediate for the environmental and social pacification.

Gaining proper knowledge and understanding on the real nature of the phenomena is known as SAMADHI. The aim of the Samadhi Environment and Social Organization is to endeavor gaining knowledge and realize the real nature of the environment and the society. It is our responsibility and the duty to our motherland to find and devote our time and labor without any personal aspirations. Any person who likes to dedicate for the aims and objectives of the organization may obtain the membership of the organization, if he/she has fulfilled the following requirements:

1.       Ready to dedicate for the achievement of aims and objectives of the organization.

2.      Citizen of any country.

3.      Has achieved the age of 12 years.
